A 40-hour course covering the proper installation techniques for twisted-pair, coax and fiber optic cable and connectors. The course is a 75% hands-on training using the most used manufacturer products. The course introduces the student to the components that make-up a LAN (Local Area Network) consisting of Data and Telecommunications systems.
The level I course covers the theory and the actual installation of a complete cabling system. The course also covers the certifying and trouble shooting of the system. Students are trained to use testers, scanners, tone generators and fiber optic wave meters to complete the systems.
